We help maintain and improve the quality of our community by enforcing the municipal codes with a fair and unbiased approach in order to correct violations and land use requirements.

The code enforcement officer receives and investigates reports of violations of the city's Code of Ordinances covering community standards, public nuisances, and conditions affecting public health, safety, and welfare; occurring on property within the city.
The code enforcement officer also inspects residential and commercial properties for violations and enforces compliance with these codes and standards. This includes initiation of legal action and prosecution of property owners that fail to abate said violations.
