The Bluegrass Showcase brings together festival promoters, private event venues and Bluegrass Entertainers from throughout the region for a day of music, access to promotional material, merchandise and fun! Visitors can hear a variety of Bluegrass presentations from traditional to progressive while beating the "cabin fever" that has set in from the winter season. Promoters provide information on Bluegrass Festivals for the upcoming season at displays in the east and west wings of the Civic, alongside displays of Band merchandise and other music related displays.
Set in the Historic Downtown District of Neosho, local shops provide a variety of dining choices all within walking distance. In addition, food trucks on the grounds next to the Civic Center, offer quick and easy access to a wider range of taste temptations.
The schedule for 2018 will begin with a morning session at 9:00 a.m. featuring a schedule of 11 bands. The first session will continue until 2:30 p.m.. An intermission will occur from 2:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. During the intermission, the stage will be open for an "open jam" session and access permitted to anyone holding a pass for the morning or evening session. The second session will begin at 3:30 p.m. and continue until 9:00 p.m. with additional performances a slate of 10 new bands. Wristbands will be available for either session or for the entire day. Cost will be $6.00 per session or $10.00 for the day. Wristbands will be available for purchase beginning February 1, 2018 or at the door. Attendance is limited to 900 seats per session to the general public.
So mark your calendar for Saturday, February 24, 2018 and start making plans for the Bluegrass Showcase located in the Neosho Civic Center at 109 West Spring Street.
