Celebrate Neosho

Celebrate Neosho is an annual event, occurring on the last Saturday in June.  While many look at this as our "Independence Day" event because it does conclude with an awesome fireworks display, it is our Air Show presentation.   Scheduled on the last Saturday in June allows attendees to visit other Fourth of July events throughout the area and provides the Air Show room on the calendar that doesn't conflict with these other celebrations.
In 2017 the entire day of events was held at the Neosho Hugh Robinson Memorial Airport.  "Rides for Hire" began at 9:00 a.m. with vendors providing services on both fixed wing airplanes and helicopters.  Our Vendor Midway, rides and inflatable's opened at 11:00 a.m. for the enjoyment of young and old alike.
Throughout the day, visitors enjoyed the Car Show, many static displays and various other activities.  At 5:00 p.m. the Air Show began.  Opening with a fly-over display, skydivers and a presentation of our National Flag, "Old Glory", the Air Show continued to amaze and entertain.   An array of aerobatic acts had been assembled for this year's show as well as jet fired vehicles on the ground, speeding down the runways and engaging in races with planes in flight just feet above the ground.   A choreographed event was designed by our Air Boss Scott Duck.
It was a fantastic day, thousands stayed for the Air Show and capped out the evening with a fireworks display that ignited over 15,000 individual shots!
