The Wastewater Department collects and treats the sewage coming from homes, businesses, and industries. They also maintain all the collection lines.

Wastewater Masterplan - Phase 1 Improvements
Phase I improvements include: new downtown Interceptor Sewers, a new Peak Flow holding basin and pump station, modifications to the control system at the North Wastewater Treatment Facility to enhance operations and reduce energy costs, and the repair of several sections of leaking sewers. Construction is scheduled to begin mid to late summer 2009.

Water Treatment and Distribution System Improvements
Phase I improvements include: corrective action to address water loss / pipe age / sediment in water, Water Plant rehab, wells / pump stations, storage, and distribution system. Filtration Plant
The Water Filtration department processes the water that comes from Shoal Creek to make it meet federal and state regulations. They operate and maintain the main plant, two wells, transmission lines, and five water towers. They provide water for residential, commercial, and industrial use, and for fire protection for the City of Neosho.
