Recreational Youth Sports Programs

City of Neosho Parks & Recreation Youth Sports Programs are designed to help kids learn and develop skills, stay fit, make social connections, and build important teamwork strengths in a safe, fun environment. Costs to participate are kept affordable through support from volunteers and sponsorships. Sports Applications must be  completed and submitted at City Hall, 203 E Main St, Downtown Neosho.

Youth Soccer Program

COSTS & AGE DIVISIONS: Neosho Youth Soccer is for kids ages 3 thru 14-years. Jerseys, socks, medals (3-4 years) and trophies (division winners, 5-14 years) are included in the registration fee. Shin guards are the only required equipment to purchase separately.

  • $20: 3-4 years
  • $40: 5-6 years | 7-8 years | 9-11 years | 12-14 years

TEAMS, GAMES, & PRACTICES: Teams are selected at random. Siblings in the same age division can be on same team upon request. Teams will have four preseason practices. Practice dates and times are set by coaches. No games will be scheduled on Sundays or Wednesdays.

COACHES: Parents volunteering to coach their child's team is encouraged. Coaches get a free team shirt, can sign up their child for free, and have the freedom to schedule practices around their schedule.

SPONSORSHIP: Neosho Youth Soccer is funded in large part through community sponsorship. Local businesses and individuals are encouraged to support this important program through sponsorship. Anyone can sponsor. Sponsor names/logos are featured prominently on the soccer field fence. Half-season (Spring or Fall) sponsorships cost $150. Full-season (Spring and Fall) sponsorships cost $200.

REGISTRATION: All registrations must be completed and paid for in-person at City Hall, 203 E Spring St, Downtown Neosho. No forms can be sent home to be completed and returned later.

COMMUNITY STANDARDS: Neosho Youth Soccer coaches are all volunteers, many of whom are parents of players. League referees are generally young, high-school or college-age students. Abusive behavior or poor examples by players or parents directed toward coaches, referees, or other players or parents will not tolerated and may result in suspension or expulsion from the program.

Spring 2020 
Applications for Spring 2020 will be accepted Monday, January 27, 2020 thru Friday, February 28, 2020.   All applications must be completed in person at City Hall, 203 E Main St, Downtown Neosho.  No payments will be accepted without a completed application including all signatures.  Credit or debit card payments can be accepted on site with the card present.  The Sports Program Application includes all waivers, no additional forms are required.

Disc Golf Course
Located in Morse Park, this disc golf course gets great reviews and host several tournaments.   A great beginner to mid-skills player course it is conveniently located in the north end of the massive Morse Park.  Easy access and convenient parking facilities available.  Pavilions equipped with picnic tables and other facilities are there for public use.  Let the kids enjoy the playground areas, then the entire family can engage in a round of disc golf.  A handy practice basket is located near the playground equipment.  Let's play disc golf!

Youth Baseball Program
Neosho community youth baseball programs are operated by Neosho Little League, a local, citizen-staffed association operating under the umbrella of Little League International.  This group offers a variety of opportunities providing t-ball, softball and baseball leagues for children ranging in age from beginners up to those eligible to enter the High School programs. The program is parent-run and is not affiliated with the City of Neosho.
