GOLF COURSE PRO SHOP ATTENDANT

DEFINITION

The purpose of this position is to provide quality service and products at the golf course facilities by assisting in the operations of the City’s pro shop and concessions on a part time basis.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED

Reports to the Pro Shop Manager. Exercises no supervision.

EXAMPLES OF IMPORTANT RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIESImportant responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to the following:

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

  1. Operates pro shop and concessions.
  2. Stocks all pro shop and concession products.
  3. Accounts for Pro Shop and Concessions revenue.
  4. Helps maintain the storage area for all supplies.
  5. Monitors updates and complies with Health Department codes.
  6. Ensures that concession items are not past their expiration date.
  7. Cleaning of main office and pro shop.
  8. Performs other duties as assigned from the Pro Shop Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge of:

  1. Basic mathematics.
  2. MS Office applications.
  3. Time Management.
  4. Health Department codes and regulations.
  5. Golf rules and regulations.

Ability to:

  1. Conduct research about Health Department regulations.
  2. Work with the public.
  3. Work alone without direct supervision.
  4. Understand and follow oral and written instructions.
  5. Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
  6. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
  7. Follow all safety rules and regulations.

EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING GUIDELINES

High School diploma or equivalent.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Environmental Conditions

Work is performed in an office setting with a considerable amount of public contact. Position may entail walking, standing, bending, or crouching for extended periods of time and lifting or moving moderate to heavy product.

Computer, calculator, copier, cooking equipment, cash registers, coolers, ice machines, phone, printer

Miscellaneous Requirements

  1. Will be subject to background investigation and consumer credit reporting investigation (if applicable).
  2. Must successfully complete pre-employment substance abuse testing.
  3. Must be available nights and weekends.
